Paper Princess Studio

Welcome to - The Studio

I am participating in Where Bloggers Create II hosted by Karen Valentine of My Desert Cottage. The premise of this blog hop is exactly as it sounds- bloggers coming together to share the space where they create. Apparently there are over 450 participants this year!!! No doubt that there will be some gorgeous studios and fabulous inspiration!! I can not wait to visit all the blogs and be inspired by where bloggers/artist create.

Well, Let me take you on a tour of my studio- Paper Princess Studio:

This is the view as you enter my studio
I love chalkboards so of course I had to create one at the entrance of my studio. Chalkboards are so versatile and so fun to change up the messages on :)

Don't be fulled...These suitcases are not just for show and tell- they are jammed pack of supplies :)
This is one of my work spaces (I have 3: a desk, an island, and a round table) This is the island
This is the wall art that is next to the island work space

Next, is this large bookcase that houses all sorts of crafting goodness

Like vintage game pieces and ephemera

Next to the shelf are more hidden treasures
This shelf houses one of my crafting addictions...Cricut cartridges ;)
And no, I did not purchase all of these. My old boss (who owned the scrapbook store I managed) worked out a very sweet deal with me; I would watch her boyfriends dog when they went on vacation and in return, I got FREE cartridges :) Talk about a sweet deal! Not to mention, my fabulous mom & dad have bought me a few here and there too- I'm a spoiled girl!

Now these Ikea cubes I must tell you...are a crafters best friend. David bought me my first one about 2 years ago and now there are 4 in my craft room. I love them- they store so much. And well, when your a crafting horder like me you NEED the storage :)

On the opposite wall are yet more cubes
If you lay them on the side, they are the perfect counter height. Not to mention you can pile more 'stuff' on top of them
The shelves on top David built for me to house my published projects and the magazines/books I've been published in. What a sweet man I have :)!
Rounding the corner is my desk area
More shelves
That house more 'stuff'And my photo wall.....Preserving memories is the reason I craft/scrapbook. It's sweet memories like the ones displayed on this wall that I Blessed with each and every day
Here is the lil server I created to house snacks and beverages on when 'the girls' come over to craft
Well...that's about it (there is more to show but those pics. will come later- or maybe next year ;)
Thanks for stopping by and touring

Love your space!! It is very fabulous!! I wish my room had an island or a round table like yours has. If I had it to do all over again, I would've done mine like that. You have done a fabulous job decorating it! I can't even click on that link- I will get carried away on wanting to redecorate my space.

What a great space you have created. I love your use of storage...the luggage are such a nice idea and you have so many little neat containers. I am eyeing the Ikea shelves for our bead room. I have been looking for something for two years. My husband swears I turned those down...I don't think so! I especially was touched by your memory wall. That says it all.

Some day, come and take a peek at my daughter and my blog. It is three months old and not really just about my jewelry. I love paper crafting...she loves a million other things like vintage fashion. We were not in any shape to photograph but I am loving the tours.

I love that deep rich red colour in your studio. I would love something like that in mine but my room is in the basement and there is NO natural light. We're moving in the not-too-distant future and I suppose my re-do will have to be 'neutral' to appeal to buyers. Thanks for inviting us to visit!
