Hip Hop Hooray a reason to create today...

My oh my...it has been FOREVER since I've spent some time in my craft studio!! I had to literally blow the dust off my tools..LOL (ok maybe I'm exagerating a tad bit). Last night I slipped into my studio to create a Birthday card for a very special lady who is celebrating her birthday today..my mother in law. Half the time I don't even get around to sending friends/family b-day cards because I'm 'one of those' I prefer to make people cards vs. buying store bought ones yet half the time I never find the time to sit down and create them. I know that is a horrible habit so I made it a point to slip into my studio last night to create this card-
I used This set from my Unity stash, along with one of my fav. products-snow tex. If you've never used snow-tex I'll let you in on a little secret of mine..you have to have this product for your stash! I'm not quite sure if you can find it year round but you'll definitly find it around the holidays..when you see it grab it :). My secret is this- if you wait until after the holidays you can load up your stash for half the price :). I think a large tub of this stuff will run about $10 or more but if you wait until the after the holiday sales start you can get it for the fraction of the price (I think I purchased about 15 tubs of this stuff from Joanne's a couple years back and I still have plenty in my stash. Anyhow, you are probably wondering what is so great about this stuff..let me tell you- it's wonderful to use on all of your holiday and winter themed projects yet it can double as 'frosting' for cupcakes (as demonstrated on this card), birthday cakes, and even gingerbread houses...how fun is that!

Ok, well that was my tip of the day....Thank you much for stopping by today!!! Now please continue on your hip hop way and visit my friend Brooke today

Very pretty.

And I'm the same way (re: making cards and then not having time).

What I have been doing lately is making at least two when I sit down, so that I have a spare to use later.

Now, if I can only find them later, I'd really be on top of it! :)
