Hip Hoppy Holidays...

Wow...what a few days it has been!!! I didn't think that I would be able to get this posted for Hip Hop today and was getting a bit frustrated. You see, not only are we currently in the midst of moving into our new home, but my new camera (the one that my hubby gave me for Christmas last year) decided that it would kick the bucket the day the movers were here! Talk about timing...You know I had to take some pics. of the move and there I am standing there with a dead camera (not a happy camper)But then I realized that hidden away (and within reach) was our dinosaur of a digital camera...the day was saved. Well then fast forward a few days...Monday to be exact. Our PC goes down and I now have no way of retrieving photos off my computer or connecting to the internet. Again, an oldy but goody comes to save the day- our old lap top that I am sitting on now. Needless to say, technology is certainly not my friend this week but through it all, I try to remain calm and see the good in the situations (Although, I do think to myself, is there any good in this situation?) Well at least we have a new home and that in and of itself is a Blessing-Thank God!

Well, I am thankful that I am able to share these projects with you (again, I apologize for the unclear photos, as these were taken with the old camera and the clarity is not near as good as the new camera that kicked the buckets). This is a card I created to match my 'Deer-lightful' Christmas packaging idea that is currently published in Creaking Keepsakes special issue, Home for the Holidays. The deer stamp from Unity is just gorgeous and the instant I laid eyes on it, I knew that it would be a great accompanying to this Christmas package.

And this my friends is how I presented the key to our new home to my hubby last week. Those who know me well, know that I can't just do things ho humb...so when it came to presenting my hubby with the keys to our new home I knew I had to think of something creative and fun. Since Polar Express is near and dear to our hearts,I used that as my theme; I printed 'Believe' on the computer and then stamped my fav. Unity background stamp (distressed music) as the background. Inside, I hung a sprig of holly and pine and then tied a bow that held the key to our new home. I also tucked a sweet note inside telling my hub that I Believe in us, I Believe that this home was meant for us, etc.

Well Friends...I wish you all a Very Merry Christmas- Hip Hoppy Holidays to you all!

PS- Make sure to leave a comment as some Unity goodies will be given away to one of you...The perfect gift for your own stocking ;)
