In Recovery Mode...

I know, I know....I've been MIA-sorry :)! Time has been flying by here at the Mellstrom household and as usual I've been wrapped up in putting the final touches on some projects I've been working on (pics. to follow shortly) Anyhow, my dear hubby had surgery today so we've been preparing for that on top of figuring out and praying about what we're going to do about our dear poochie, Duke (you may remember he was supposed to have knee surgery a few weeks ago but stopped breathing for 15 min. when the anesthia was administered..needless to say, they couldn't move ahead with the operation) Anyhow, back to the hub :)- today he had yet another shoulder surgery (he went under extensive shoulder surgery a year ago for a torn labrium and torn rotator cuff) It's been a l-o-n-g recovery from his last surgery and today he went in for a follow up operation. This one wasn't near as intense as the previous one...they were just cleaning up some scar tissue that had formed around the labrium area from his last surgery. We had to be at the surgery center bright and early this morning (6 am) ...and for those of you whom know me well, I am NOT a morning person ;). Well, we are back home, David is sleeping, and I'm playing catch up on some things. I just wanted to hop on and say Hello and let you know that I have something up my sleave for the next 14 days so stay tuned :)...Well time to go play nurse :) Have a great/safe weekend! And happy Feb. 1st :)!!!

Wow Heather, we hope the pooch and the hubby make a swift recovery. Aging pets are so tough to deal with. Both of mine are up there in years, taking pills, and not walking too well. It's so hard to guess when they need something. On the other hand, husbands have no trouble letting you know! LOL
Take care, Kim
