One of my dear friends, Wendy, volunteers much of her time assisting an awesome organization called Stepping Stones of Hope. The premise behind this organization is grief counseling/recovery for children and or adults who have lost a loved one. What this organization stands for is very near and dear to my heart because my sister in law lost her battle with breast cancer a few years ago and left behind 3 small children. My husband also lost his father at a very young age, and I see the profound effect that has had on his life. It's not easy for anyone to loose a loved one, especially children. The Arizona division of this organization is hosting their annual charity ball this weekend and I thought the least I could do was donate these items I created as part of their silent auction.
*If you have any old craft supplies that are just lying around that you would like to get rid of and you have a heart for helping others please leave a comment on this post and I will contact you. My friend, Wendy, donates much of her time creating scrapbooks with the children and adults who attend the grief camps; they create a scrapbook in memory of the loved one they have lost. All the supplies she uses are donated, and additional supplies are always needed and most certainly welcome. If you do donate and would like a tax write off form, that can be provided as well.

Wow, what an amazing organisation and such an important cause. We all loose a loved one at some point in our lives and it is very hard to deal with. As a nurse I see first hand how this effects people as well as having experienced it myself. I would love to dig out some supplies to help, I live in the UK so would be limited to how much I could send due to postage but every little helps right! Please let me know where to send.
P.s forgot to say that the items that you created for the auction are beautiful. You are very talented and I'm sure to always be inspired when I visit your blog.
